Freelance Surveyor
ECO4 Gurus have a growing national team of freelance surveyors poviding Retrofit Assessments, Technical surveys, and RC/Designer onsite inspections for projects with high risk measures.
To join our team you need to have relevant accreditations, qualifications, experience and insurance in place.
Below is a list of minimum requirements.
Retrofit Assessors:
RA’s should be accredited with ECMK or Elmhurst energy and preferably have a minimum of 6 months experience
To apply you will need to be:
- Accredited with ECMK or Elmhurst Energy as a Retrofit Assessor
- Hold a L3 qualification for retrofitting traditioanl buildings
Technical surveyors:
To carry out technical assessment for proposed measures the surveyor shall be industry qualified for that measure or have other qualifications to show competency in completing the survey.
A qualified RA may be competent to complete technical assessment for measures depending on experience
To apply you will need to have one of the following:
- Hold a L2 qualification or higher for the Measure to be surveyed
- Be a qualified RA with experience/qualifications to show competence
RC/Designer Surveyors:
This is a requirement under PAS2035:2023 for projects that include solid wall insulation, room-in-roof insulation, flat roof insulation or underfloor insulation.
You will be required to attend site mid or post install, complete the survey for the relevant high risk measure, record the ventilation at the time of inspection and raise details relating to nonconformities and defects.
To apply you will need to be one of the following:
- An accredited Retrofit Coordinator
- A chartered building surveyor (MRICS or FRICS).
- A chartered architectural technologist (MCIAT or
FCIAT) registered by the Chartered Institute of
Architectural Technologists (CIAT) - An architect registered by the Architects Registration
Board (ARB) - A professional member of CIOB
- Hold a L2 qualification or higher for the Measure to be surveyed
