Off Grid properties finally receive Free solar panels and Free heat pumps Backed by the government.

The UK Government announced several different schemes and support packages within the last 12 months. These are to help support residents with the rising cost of energy prices with Off Grid Free solar panels and Free heat pumps.

However, homes off the gas grid using expensive heat sources such as Oil, LPG, Electricity or Solid Fuels. Often these homes are given limited consideration.

The ECO4 scheme, launched in April 2022. The ECO4 scheme is funded by central UK Government and UK utility companies to help reduce energy efficiency and reduce bills related to energy usage in homes.

As part of the ECO4 scheme, homes without mains gas can get the following improvements installed in their home for free:

  • Heat Pumps
  • Energy Efficient Heating System
  • Loft Insulation
  • Wall insulation
  • Additional Energy Efficient Measures

These improvements are installed in homes across the UK to help reduce our carbon footprint while helping to reduce reliance on expensive energy sources by converting to renewable energy.

The Alternative Fuel Payment of £200 for off grid homes was paid earlier this year.

The UK Government previously announced that eligible households across Great Britain received financial support in the form of a £200 Alternative Fuel Payment which started from February 1, 2023.
