Trainee RC Administrator

Job Title: Trainee Retrofit Coordinator (RC) Administrator

Annual Salary £21300 increasing to £24000 once trained and competent as an RC Administrator (approx. 6 months) with a 3 month probationary period.

37.5 Hours per week based in office in Waterloo L22 5NG

Hybrid working hours available once competent to work from home (approx. 6 weeks). 3 days in office, 2 days working from home.

Required skills for a Trainee RC Administrator:

  • Self-motivated and eager to develop themselves within the company.
  • Computer literate and willing to learn.
  • Able to learn data input systems and problem solve.
  • An understanding of building construction, energy efficiency and building defects would be an advantage.
  • Qualifications within retrofit will be an advantage but is not a requirement.

Responsibilities once trained:

  • Managing the PAS 2035 Process: The administrator oversees the entire PAS 2035 process throughout a project. This includes ensuring compliance with procurement, specification, and delivery of energy efficiency measures.
    • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and managing technical and process risks commonly associated with retrofit projects.
    • Design and Specification Oversight: Overseeing the design and specification of energy efficiency measures according to PAS 2035:2023.
    • Post-Installation Monitoring and Evaluation: Ensuring proper monitoring and evaluation of measures after installation.
    • Collaboration: Working closely with retrofit assessors, coordinators, and installers.
    • Quality Assurance: Checking compliance and accuracy of information related to retrofit installations.
    • Client Interaction: Interacting with domestic refurbishment clients and addressing their needs.
    • Skills and Requirements: No specific qualifications are required. An L2 Award or higher in Understanding Domestic Retrofit, domestic energy assessment, Retrofit Assessor qualification, or similar would be an advantage.
    • IT Skills: You should have good IT and word processing skills and be able to utilise them in relation to administration of retrofit coordination and risk management.
    • Understanding of Building Physics: Familiarity with the principles of building physics as they relate to existing buildings and retrofit energy implications.
    • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in specifications and compliance.
    • Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to address issues and resolve challenges during the retrofit process.
